Haibun: A second attempt

We have been challenged once again to write a haibun. I do not think I got it right in my previous attempt. Hopefully, this time I will be closer to being on the mark...

I'll begin with two verses of what I deem to be prose poetry (please correct me if I'm wrong) and end with a haiku.

Grassy knolls and barley fields
roll by unnoticed
by un-wandering eyes
that only see what is inside

When will we open our eyes
to the beauty
of what passes us by
on journeys
to far off places?

Though trains do not stop
for us to gaze upon small
wonders, we can look

Haibun

It's been a while since I took part in NaPoWriMo...I've missed writing poetry.

Today's prompt is to write a haibun, a combination of prose and haiku. This is my attempt (I hope I understand haiban correctly!):

To travel is to wonder

To travel is to wonder
Where ev' you may be
At all the sights you may see

Castles, mountains, lakes and trees
All glisten in the misty morn'
Their secrets belong to the fairies
But won't be theirs for long

Old farms and their crooked gates
Along paths tread for many years
Welcome every free wanderer born
Their weary feet to rest

Cities we shall leave behind
With all their noise and busy streets
To wonder at the simplicity,
The beauty of travel
